Week 3: Initial location Research

Possible location 1
This spot looks like a house but I kind of like how it is both a house and a gallery. It kinda fits with the theme of how people deal with mental illness and it is often at home where people are really vulnerable.

This is still not set, also thinking about the dates week 9 or week 10 September 28th -30th or October 5th-7th.

The location is also pretty easy to access.

Invitations

The private invitations for this event were straight forward but so important to us. As we wanted all our private invitees to attend we got our invites printed on high quality silver card.

Location

Before we locked down the Roxburgh St Art location we looked at other possible options. After seeing a post from another student in the exhibition paper Facebook group I emailed bill.giannakakis@gmail.com to find out more about the space above Glassons. I was not able to get a response therefore we sticked to the Roxburgh. From the images shared on Facebook, I liked how the space was wider even though it is only one room. Photo from Facebook group 5 Roxburgh St Mount Victoria The Roxburgh St Art was our initial location that we found more suited to our original concept of Behind the Façade, we decided to stick with this as it meets our price range how close it is and we like that it is not completely similar to a white cube gallery space.
